The Gateway
of Alnukhaib
A monumental gateway spanning 25 meters across a multi-lane highway, defining the entrance to Al Nukhaib City. The 11-meter-tall structure blends modern architectural scale with culturally significant motifs. Clad in golden metallic ACP panels, it serves as both a welcoming landmark and a symbol of regional identity.
The client required a structure that could withstand the harsh desert climate while serving as a civic landmark visible from a distance. The gateway needed to span a major highway without disrupting traffic flow during construction.
A robust steel frame clad in PVDF-coated Aluminum Composite Panels provides durability against extreme weather. Classical arching forms and symbolic relief elements connect the modern structure to its cultural context.
